Kinas & Ice Cream - Hui-ā-Tau 2024
He Tata a runga, he roa a raro.
On December 14th, whānau came together in the true spirit of Rongowhakaata—supporting one another, sharing kōrero, and strengthening our connections as we look toward the future.
The day was a reminder that our strength lies in unity. Together, we embraced the opportunity to reset and refocus, supporting one another as we carry forward the vision for our iwi.
It’s moments like these that remind us of the power of coming together – kanohi ki te kanohi, to reflect, and to ensure our shared vision thrives for generations to come. With over 100 attendees warming our Tūranga stronghold Te Kurī-ā-Tuatai marae, the shining sun and marquees gave the event a true festival vibe, complemented by the live music of Raiha Moetara.
Karakia and a heartfelt whakatau to welcome our new trustees set the tone for the day. Whānau explored stations showcasing inamata, onamata, and anamata, providing a clear and transparent view of the strategic plan, approved annual plan, work programmes, and investment strategies, and had the opportunity to ask detailed questions and engage directly with Trustees and directors.
We celebrated our outgoing trustees and welcomed the incoming board, marking the day with gratitude and excitement for what’s ahead.
Massive thank you to all our whānau.
