Rongowhakaata Iwi Trust is a mandated Iwi Authority responsible for the protection and growth of assets returned through treaty settlements. We have an integrated operating model that has been designed to reflect the distinct character of the ancestral name Rongowhakaata, with three specialist business units – Wharekai, Rongo and Whakaata.

Mō te tūranga / About the Role:

Reporting to the Kaiurungi, the Board Secretary is essential to the board's efficient operation, ensuring alignment with statutory, regulatory, and governance requirements. This role involves organising meetings, coordinating key documentation, ensuring compliance with our Trust Deed and Terms of Reference, and facilitating clear communication between the boards, committees and wider organisation. The role could be up to 40 hours a week.
