Rongowhakaata Iwi Internship Recruitment

RIT are seeking expressions of interest from innovative applicants passionate about te taiao, to join the Rongowhakaata Iwi Trust Office.

The function of this Te Taiao role is to assist with the development and implementation of iwi environmental and conservation mahi.

The role will give the successful applicant the experience of working for a post settlement governance entity Trust Board and see iwi strategy in action.

 

If you see yourself as a team player who possesses good oral and written communication and analytical skills, teamed with motivation and a willingness to learn, then this opportunity is not to be missed.  You’ll gain experience and have the benefit of working in a supportive environment within an organisation which plays a key role in iwi development.

‘Ko Rongowhakaata’ Iwi Exhibition at Tairawhiti Museum 2016-17

Our next Rongowhakaata Iwi showcase follows in the footsteps of our successful ‘Rukupō’ Marae Exhibition series this past January. ‘Ko Rongowhakaata’ will be segmented into specific themes and korero, expressing different facets of Rongowhakaata that when seen together will tell our story as an iwi. This will be an inspiring and comprehensive lead in to the Iwi Exhibition at Te Papa 2017-19.
